Temple of Elemental Evil (5e)
Evil lurks once again in the Temple of Elemental Evil. Long forgotten blasphemies threaten Oerth once more. Will men and women of valor take up arms once more?
In order to get through ToEE in a timely manner, I will be running the module in chapters. The first chapter will take place in Hommlet, and then chapter 2 will progress to the Ruins of the Moathouse. Each chapter will take one Slur Your Role session. Hopefully.
A Murder in Hommlet
Chapter 1 (Levels 1-3)
Unbeknownst to the citizens of Hommlet, a poison grows from within the village. Only now is the village beginning to notice that all that glitters is not gold, and beneath the shine of prosperity lies deadly rot that threatens to consume all of Hommlet. Who will answer the call to adventure?
Ruins of the Moathouse
Chapter 2 (Levels 2-4 welcome)
The Witch of Nulb
Chapter 3 (Levels 3-5 welcome)
The Temple of Elemental Evil
Chapter 4 (Levels 5-8 welcome)
Into the Dark Dungeon...
Chapter 5 (Levels 7-10 welcome)
The Rot from Within
Chapter 6 (Levels 10-13 welcome)
ToEE has four massive dungeons levels and cave networks. So, I will keep with the "chapter" story arc, but it will get messy.
Come play both tabletop games like King of Tokyo and video games like Smash Bros. We generally try to run a few anime themed games at our events. Console wise we'll likely have the mainstays, N64, 360, PS2-4, Dreamcast, over about 5 or so screens. We'll have a mixture of games, anime, party, racing fps, etc in rotation. Depending on turnout we may do something with a tournament ladder. We'll have a few tables of board games as well, if you're not so much into pixels.
Please bring and tag your own controller, controllers can also be purchased in store. If you want to come with a gaming or anime cosplay, that's fine. It most likely will be colder out being December.
Card-N-All also has a nice selection of new and retro games at reasonable prices, as well as hardware. Please be considerate of their space. They are also giving us a special 10% off discount for the event. Much of the store is already really cheap compared to any other game store in Louisville. So come down to play some games and check what they've got.
If you're coming from Manslick Rd. headed South, it will be in a 2 story white strip mall on the right, across from the Marathon station at the traffic light. Card-N-All is the last shop in the plaza on the end. If you pass the Cardinal Market gas station you've gone too far.
Kentucky Science Center’s Coding Days on December 8th and 9th invites guests to learn the “language that powers the world!” Visitors can expect to gain a broader understanding of the impact of coding on our everyday lives.
Like other STEM career days, such as Advanced Manufacturing and Brain Days, Coding Days will see Kentucky Science Center’s exhibit halls filled with themed activities presented by the Science Center and their partners. Yum Brands, Net Tango, Humana, Code Louisville and GE will all be onsite to provide unique experiences for guests, including speed mentoring for students, virtual reality experiences, maker activities, and coding challenges.
ProcJam's annual worldwide game jam runs from Nov. 4th to Nov. 13th, and WarpZone is hosting a kickoff for anyone interested in making procedurally generated games.
The official tagline is "Make something that makes something".
Procedural generation is a technique of creation where some or all of the work is done by computers.
Can computers generate music? Game maps? Graphics? You betcha!
We'll keep the doors open from at least 10AM - 5PM Nov. 4th to kick off the week long jam.
You're on your own for the rest of the week, but stop by WarpZone for our other meetups and we can showcase what we've built after the 13th!
Tutorials, videos, and other content from the ProcJam official site and from other sources will be queued up for your viewing pleasure all day.

The system integrates with commercial EHRs.
Fourth Dimension Medical Solutions (Louisville, KY) is a medical software company that uses diffusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging and phase contrast imaging to assess the acute rejection state of a transplanted kidney. Innovative Therapeutix, Inc (Louisville, KY) is a pediatric-focused device company that lowers healthcare costs for payers and providers. The device solves for medical and developmental issues in infants and children, preventing long-term and more complex problems. My Nurse (Lisbon, Portugal) is a mobile online platform that enables patients and their families to choose where, when, how and by whom they will be treated (at a predetermined hourly rate with a user-reported star rating system). The platform provides nurses, aides, physiotherapists, therapists (speech, occupational, osteopathy and acupuncture), and home palliative care teams within a preset distance from the client. MyNurse launched in January 2017 and is available in 5 languages (Portuguese, English, Spanish, French and German).
Pahoola (St.Louis, MO) is a patient education company that produces and distributes high quality, engaging video content to educate patients and family members about medical procedures before, during and after their hospital visit. A more educated and engaged patient results in improved outcomes and patient satisfaction while reducing post-discharge readmissions.
