Temple of Elemental Evil (5e)
Evil lurks once again in the Temple of Elemental Evil. Long forgotten blasphemies threaten Oerth once more. Will men and women of valor take up arms once more?
In order to get through ToEE in a timely manner, I will be running the module in chapters. The first chapter will take place in Hommlet, and then chapter 2 will progress to the Ruins of the Moathouse. Each chapter will take one Slur Your Role session. Hopefully.
A Murder in Hommlet
Chapter 1 (Levels 1-3)
Unbeknownst to the citizens of Hommlet, a poison grows from within the village. Only now is the village beginning to notice that all that glitters is not gold, and beneath the shine of prosperity lies deadly rot that threatens to consume all of Hommlet. Who will answer the call to adventure?
Ruins of the Moathouse
Chapter 2 (Levels 2-4 welcome)
The Witch of Nulb
Chapter 3 (Levels 3-5 welcome)
The Temple of Elemental Evil
Chapter 4 (Levels 5-8 welcome)
Into the Dark Dungeon...
Chapter 5 (Levels 7-10 welcome)
The Rot from Within
Chapter 6 (Levels 10-13 welcome)
ToEE has four massive dungeons levels and cave networks. So, I will keep with the "chapter" story arc, but it will get messy.
Just started getting in to 5e and looking to find a group willing to take one a new person with limited experience. Fairly open schedule in the evenings. Looking forward to getting in a campaign!
I should clarify that I'm not new to games in general, just pnp games.
@lane said in Do you want a discussion area for your group? Post here.:
Any chance I could get a group page for my Moonthrone games? I miss having everything in one place since the multiverse section change.
You're all setup.

Dude, you should just skip those movies. Pretend they don't exist and just watch original trilogy and new ones. Start with Rogue One and STOP there.
Fixed your post
What? You don't like the original trilogy?
@reuben said in Any interest in a DM's Society / Group?:
Dont we already have the dm multiverse group? Is that going to be like the group except people can post on it? We also have a nerd louisville gm group on facebook that people post on. Just wondering how this will be different from all the other nerd louisville gm groups and discussion boards
The main thing I can see is this is for all DMs / GMs / Judges who are interested, not just folks who run at NL events, and accessible to people who either don't like FB chat or aren't on FB / Twitter / [insert social media here].
@cosmic-j said in Does anyone know anything about Robin Laws' Dying Earth?:
@mike I have the core rulebook, found it on Amazon last year for like $2. It was clear the designers were familiar w/ the source fiction, and I liked the way... Oh. nevermind.
Yeah, I haven't had a chance to look yet. What did you like? I'm mostly interested in gleaning the setting material they arrived at.
The SECTF (Social Engineering Capture the Flag contest) report is out.
I saw some of this live at DerbyCon. Contestants sat in a clear "phone booth" on stage, and we watched them call a company they'd been assigned so they could get information out of people, get them to click on links, and otherwise violate their corporate security.
This was for training -- nothing malicious was done with the collected information.
Many of these skills and techniques overlap with roleplaying.
@judge_john - That job is no longer posted, but I see current openings for Data Analysts, System Admins, and software development.
I'm sure a few of us around these parts would be qualified for those jobs.
But please don't apply to them... cause we need to keep the cool nerds in Louisville.
This sounds like y'all (and me):
Zack: And you rolled obstinate cowards who are selfish, but loyal.
Steve: Which I think is unfair because I should get to roll for each of them separately.
Zack: Nope, sorry, I can't keep track of all this shit. Which is why Nickar and Shobaffum both know ventriloquism as their only spell and Trebbelos knows Light, Charm Person and ESP.
Steve: These are some useless wizards, dude.
Looks like your connection to Nerd Louisville Community was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
