Sir Axell Training

  • Knight Fauxrunner Judge

I want to do some training while everyone is hunting Ogres. Sir Axell is going to hit the books and consult a scribe. I need to get rid of that -10% to xp...

I spend 1000gp on the scribe and the studies.

    +1 to Sir Axell's INT

@Mike Can I do this more than once since I didn't go on the quest?

You get one downtime for every “between” of a tourney or quest. If you had enough gold to do this between the last tourney/quest I’m fine if you do it again.

I'm also going to have you make a WAR roll for me when I put together the details.

    Let me know:

    1. Who you are bring (squires, retinues, hirelings, mercenaries, etc.).
    2. What your war outfitting is (mount, armor, weapons, etc.).

Just checking to see if I understand this. There's a tournament, then "between", then quest, then "between"?

I bought horses for my first group of hirelings, then I hired another group while I was in Starpeak and they are armed as skirmishers. I probably need to hire a cook, some general laborers and a wagon full of supplies.

If I bring Axell, William his squire and my 11 men at arms, how much does that cost? Outfitted just as they are on my page.

    CORRECT.

So, the timeline for the campaign so far:

    1. Tourney of Winterhaven
    2. Downtime
    3. Quest to Escort the Lady Elsibeth
    4. Downtime
    5. Tourney of Starpeak
    6. Downtime
    7. Quest to Slay the Ogre of Scargard

After this quest, there will be another downtime.

What cost are you referring to?

    Do you mean Upkeep Cost?

This is what I was talking about. I thought you mentioned a cost here or something? I might have misunderstood.

    That's what I'm bringing.

Squire with warhorse and all his gear
5 henchfolk with riding horses and gear
    6 henchfolk with gear

So, the cost will depend on their HD. See the chart above. If they are all 1HD Men-at-Arms, it's 11 x 5 gp.

You don't have to pay for your Squire. They are always "free" -- assumed to be within your own cost of living.
