Treasure for XP

  • You said money spent on frivolous things gain us XP. Do these qualify for gaining XP:

-A Campground outside our entry point (possibly requiring an Engineer to build)
    -A Blacksmith
    -A Sage
    -A Medic (specialist)
    -Mercs for guarding the camp
    -Lamps (for light)
-Valets (dudes that carry shit because we lazy)

None of those purchases would grant you XP.

Gold spent on XP must be spent on stuff that "goes away". Like, a lavish party for your adventuring company, a night of fine companionship and wine, a generous tithe to the Temple of Typhon, a memorial for recently fallen comrades, furnishings for your apartment, etc.

Gold spent on XP should do nothing to further your ability to adventure, like a campground outpost, hirelings, or equipment.

Also, post these questions as new threads.

  • Haha. As a general rule of thumb, if you feel like you are getting something out of spending your gold, it's probably not XP.

So apply the Richard Pryor rule.
