    Report

Early Winter - 11th - Afternoon: The party files up the windy stair until Crumdar notices a hidden entrance into a cavern inside the mountain. The party prepares to enter. Kade Merrick gets cold feet and decides to stay outside and guard the entrance.

Early Winter - 11th - Afternoon: The party discovers a dwarven entrance that has some sort of faint radiance that is only visible with infravision and acts as a transparent and intangible "barrier" of some sort that leads into a cavern. Several bodies are found and looted.

Early Winter - 11th - Afternoon: The party continues onward through cavern tunnels, past a southern passage, and into a larger cave with a pool of water. They would later learn this is the Moon Pool. The water itself is called true water and has many unusual properties. It also traps some of the lunar light entering the cave from a crevasse above the pool, which can grant special power to magic users.

Early Winter - 11th - Late Afternoon: Butch climbs the ledge above the Moon Pool and spots something sliding across the cavernous ceiling. It's a green slime. It drops on Cromdar. Chaos ensues as it dissolves his gear and armor. The party douses him in oil and sets him afire. They also try to use the Moon Pool water, but it does nothing but put out some of the flames quickly, which aids the slime in surviving. The party witnesses Cromdar slowly turn to stone as the life passes out of him.

Early Winter - 11th - Late Afternoon: The party, distraught, attempts to leave but the commotion seems to have attracted some other creatures in the cavern. The passage way out is blocked by a large gelatinous cube and footsteps are heard from deeper into the caverns. The party is forced to escape through the crevasse above the Moon Pool. Seeing no dangers, and realizing the crevasse is actually an entrance to the caverns from outside, the party descends and returns to Muntburg.

Early Winter - 11th - Dusk and Night: The party spends several hours trying to sell a magical scroll found on one of the bodies in the Dwimmermount caves, to no avail. They sleep.

Early Winter - 12th - Morning: El Sid goes to the bonding house and hires Ludvan, a squire, for 5 gp and 1/2 share of treasure. The party departs for Dwimmermount once again, this time with the thief Castor Troy.

Early Winter - 12th - Late Morning: Entering through the Moon Pool entrance, the party realizes Cromdar's stoned body is gone. They explore deeper into the cavern and find two passages. They explore the eastern passage, finding a hall with some webs (still unexplored), a cavern with a triptych bas relief that conveys a scene of ancient Thulians assaulting, ransacking, and looting a city. In the third panel of the relief, Castor Troy finds a key embedded in it. He takes it and gives it to Midol.

Early Winter - 12th - Late Morning: The next cavern is riddled with a maze of stalagtites/mites and a hidden niche is found (later it will have treasure), but the sound of guttural dwarvish indicates kobolds nearby. The party sets a trap and tries to lure the kobolds down, but they seem scared and interested in luring the party to their trap. A quick battle ensues and most of the kobolds are killed, but not before injuring the squire, Ludvan, who is weakened by his injury. The kobolds flee into another nearby room and barricade themselves in.

Early Winter - 12th - Midday: El Sid forces the door open and sets the next room ablaze. The fire burns for some time before the door is opened and an empty room is beyond.

    Until next time....
